My Long Ministry, and Theirs

Today I worked to convert one monthly June issue of Christian Standard into four weekly issues, and one monthly July issue into four weekly issues. The company hasn't yet pulled the trigger on the decision to take Christian Standard monthly, so plans are being made and remade.
That's not good, but I am pleased with material we're gathering and issues we're planning.
I'm also pleased with our last issue in May, which will examine the research that says, on average, churches grow most during a minister's first decade before growth slows in succeeding decades. We've got comment from about 18 Christian church leaders who help us think about the issue.
We decided late in the process to ask an illustrator to prepare the cover for the issue.
Jeff Whitlock sent us the first comp over the weekend. We asked him to change the church steeple and the way the clock appeared, and he sent the next another.
Watch for the full-color version on the May 27 issue of  Christian Standard.
This is the comp we chose. We'll add
type in the lower right corner
